Cantaloupe is a type of muskmelon - sweet, fragrant and juicy. It is round, with firm orange flesh, and has a net-like covering on the skin. Although more commonly eaten fresh as dessert or part of a salad, there is an increase in commercial uses for its juice and as IQF balls.
