Phil, a 25 year-veteran of international food trade, oversees operations at IngredienTrade's New York headquarters and manages business development and supply efforts. Phil founded IngredienTrade in 2000, having previously founded and managed Metro Trade, Inc., a company that sourced food ingredients primarily for large brokering companies who in turn marketed the products to leading US and European brands. In 2000, Phil assembled a team to sell directly to end-clients, and incorporated the new initiative under the name, IngredienTrade. Prior to Metro Trade, Phil managed his family's business, which had imported and distributed food products since the early 1950's. He holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in international studies and did advanced academic work including Ph. D. studies in international economics at the London School of Economics, and taught at the university level. He lives in Midtown Manhattan with his wife, a psychoanalyst, and is an avid fan of classical music, opera, and the Cleveland Indians.

Robert grew up in Brooklyn , NY , graduating magna cum laude from New York University in 1979. He attained his CPA certification in New York State in 1981. Robert spent 21 years in Vancouver , Canada working most of his time there as a financial manager in the manufacturing industry. Upon his return to NY in 2006, Robert worked for a specialty food importer and joined Ingredientrade in October 2007. Robert is a dedicated runner, having run 6 marathons, including New York in 2004 and 2005. He lives on the Upper West Side in NY City with his wife, and has 3 sons living in Vancouver .

Jordi heads the supply chain efforts and is increasingly involved with business development within the US as well as other regions such as Latin America and the Carribean. His previous work experience includes positions in international logistics and freight with Danzas and Nissho Iwai Logistics America Corp. Born and raised in Barcelona, Jordi holds a BA and an MBA from the University of Barcelona. A proud Catalunyan and avid soccer fan, he is also the President of the FC Barcelona Supporters Club in New York.

Marc leads the sales and marketing efforts in the EU and his team has been able to bring in new exotic items for important players in the beverage market. In addition to new sales, IT Europe also contributes to various sourcing efforts. He received a degree in Business Administration from Universitat Ramon Llull in Barcelona where he started working in the telecom industry. He then moved to New York in 2000 and worked in the banking industry for J.P.Morgan Chase and Salomon Smith Barney. Marc's favorite pastimes are sailing and soccer.

WuTao graduated from Xi'An Union University in 1993 where he specialized in English and received his Bachelors degree of Administration from Northwest University of Xi'An in 2002. Prior to IngredienTrade, he worked as the Export Manager of Xi'An Asia Qin Fruit Co., Ltd from 1999-2003. WuTao is an active and innovative man, with strong communication, negotiation, and management skills. Having specialized in juice, dried fruit and the vegetable industries in China, WuTao has widespread contacts with the premiere producers throughout the region. In his spare time he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.

Daniel is the General Manager of IngredienTrade Brazil and is in charge of sourcing products in Brazil. He also assists on various projects. Daniel graduated from Mackenzie University in São Paulo where he studied Foreign Business Trade in 1997. His professional career began in Banco do Brasil in the Exchange Department in 1993, after which he moved to work as an Import and Export Analyst at Brastubo, a steel company.

Daniel’s experience in the food industry started in 2002 when he worked as salesman at N&N Polpas e Frutas, a banana puree industry. In 2003 he joined Tradecos, an Argentinean pulp and fruit juice trading company where he was in charge of controlling all contracts, shipments, quality claims and many other activities. He has lived in São Paulo for most of his life and has a collection of 2000 rock ´n´ roll albums. He also enjoys playing soccer, tennis and meeting his friends.

ZhuZheYi received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics from China ’s Northwest Industry College in 1999. He has been involved in Apple Juice Concentrate marketing and sales for 4 years before he joined Ingredientrade in 2004. Under the mentorship of WuTao, he has made significant progress in terms of building on his experience and knowledge of the fruit industry, especially in business negotiation, international trade processes and logistics. ZhuZheYi has many interests, but his most recent favorite is Snooker.

Jose leads marketing and business development efforts in the Caribbean. He is responsible for creating and implementing strategies for opening new markets within this region. Before founding IngredienTrade's regional office in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Jose founded APB International, an import-export company specializing in food products and packaging materials. Jose previously served as Export Manager for Tropijugos S.A., a processor of food ingredients located in Santo Domingo. He graduated from Instituto Technologico de Santo Domingo, where he received a B.A. in business administration. His favorite pastimes include water-skiing, reading, meringue and vacationing on the beach.

Tridajat is one of our latest additions at IngredienTrade. He not only controls sourcing from Indonesia, but also manages a joint venture partnership with a local producer. Tridajat worked for Alcan prior to joining IngredienTrade and brings with him a solid background in food manufacturing. A graduate of Pembangunan Nasional University in Surabaya with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Tridajat likes to spend time with his family and loves Jazz.

Mrs. Thai is the General Manager of IngredienTrade Vietnam Representative Office. She has a university degree in international trade and over 30 years of experience in this business. Having worked in export management for the Vietnamese state food import-export company Vegetexco previously, Mrs. Thai is a well respected figure in the industry. Outside of the office, she enjoys her spare time with her husband, an internationally recognized pathologist, and her children.
